To ensure that Masonite fire doors fully maximise fire safety, they are designed with a range of innovative features. Alongside their hybrid timber/GRP construction and fire safe glazing, they also feature intumescent seals. These graphite based intumescent seals are encapsulated in PVC and will effectively slow the spread of both fire and smoke.
Finally, all Masonite fire doors are fitted with hard wearing and discreet door closers. The door closer is located at the top edge of the door frame and can be adjusted to meet a variety of opening forces. Door closers are an essential part of fire door safety and are designed to make it impossible to accidentally leave a door open to reduce the risk of a fire spreading.
