The Italia and Traditional collections are luxurious composite door designs featuring outstanding energy efficiency, elegant accessories and a solid timber core. Those elegant accessories include an array of finishes such as contemporary chrome, new black chrome and modern brushed steel. These help to complement accessories such as handles and door knockers. There are a number of stunning frame options as well as 23 stylish colours, ranging from Cobalt Blue to Ruby Red to Golden Oak. The range of glass options helps to further the unique creation of your new composite door, being able to choose from textured, bevelled or coloured glass.
The Ultion lock is a revolutionary locking system that offers double snap resistance and is secure from snapping, even with a key inside. The Ultion lock is even able to sense when a door may be under attack from intruders, activating a hidden lock that is immediately engaged. The built-in Lock Lock allows you to go keyless by using a switch that, when pressed down, locks the door instantly. AV3 is a multi-point locking system used for the Solidor range that is automatically triggered via a magnetic release on the frame, thus securing the door.
There are three colour ranges - Luxury, Premium and Standard. The Luxury colourways include Midnight Grey, Tangerine and Duck Egg Blue. The Premium colour range includes Anthracite Grey, Rosewood and Cream, while the Standard colourways include Blue, Black and Green. The doors from Solidor have an array of features that makes customisation a simple task. The accessories on offer provide a further range of options. You are able to select accessories ranging from letterplates to door knockers to handles and hinges.

An exclusive to Solidor, the Avantis Lock has a very strong hook and bolt system, helping to provide greater compression and security on a closed door. Key Wind Up is used on door styles such as Edwardian or Georgian where there is no locking handle.
The Italia collection uses these locks, helping to introduce some impressive modern door handles. Another locking system that complies with pull door furniture is the Heritage AV2. This is to encapsulate the traditional-looking rim latches which are in turn combined with a high-security lock. The lock operates automatically once the door is closed, meaning that an external lever handle is not needed for the locking points to be employed.
The ironmongery available, such as traditional knockers and handles, can seriously add a genuine touch of class to your door. You will not be stuck for inspiration when it comes to choosing a style of glass from Solidor. There is a huge selection ready to vibrantly complement your door.
Popular colours for Solidor.
A composite door has a foam core, the Solidor door instead is made from 48mm of dense timber. While both timber and foam are very good insulators, when it comes to strength, foam falls short in comparison to the robustness of timber.
Because composite doors effectively block cold air and prevent heat from escaping, they have the ability to provide insulation for any property, leading to reduced winter utility expenses due to their remarkable energy efficiency. To sum it up, while the upfront cost of composite doors may be higher, it has the potential to result in considerable long-term savings.
